Quick benchmark of the Flash player in the PS3 browser.
Yes, the PS3 browser included a Flash player ! But no way to update the player manually, or knowing which version it is.
With a quick test i discovered that Sony embeded the Flash Player V7.
Knowing the PS3 power, i wanted to know if the flash player performances were as disapointed as the PSP flash player.
So i wrote a little benchmark on : http://www.lecrabe.net/labs/benchmark/ps3/test7.html
The fla starts at 60fps, and many crabs appear as long as the fps doesn't go down 25fps.
The final result is that on my laptop (PC with XP), i go up to :
* 111 crabs with Iexplorer * 41 crabs with Mozilla * 41 crabs with PS3 Flash Player 7
As a same result as the PSP flash player, the PS3 Flash Player is still a dispointment is terms of power.
But the player is quite powerful enough to develop some intersting games i guess.

Sure ps3 will be a good platform for flash games
you’re test is excellent, i don’t believe that mozilla is less powerfull rather than ie!!
